War



Dreams of war are often an indication that parts of yourself are at war with each other. Record these dreams in your journal and take a look at what the symbols are saying. You might ask yourself these questions:





Is this an inner struggle that can be resolved with compromise? Carl Jung taught that dreams of war indicated a battle between the dreamer's unconscious and conscious minds.

Violent dreams are relatively common and may be a reflection of the confusion and conflict that the dreamer experiences in daily life. Dreams with violent themes suggest that the dreamer has unconscious negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and anger. If you are not dealing with these feeling consciously, your dreams are compensating and bringing into awareness the need for honest reflection and emotional balance in daily life.





If you are being ATTACKED, then maybe you are feeling somewhat vulnerable in some area of your daily life. If you are doing the attacking, it may be that you are releasing some of your frustrations and anger while expressing negative feelings in such ways that you are unable to do in daily life.







If you are KILLING someone in your dreams, you are probably expressing hostile feelings. Consider this an opportunity to look at your negative feelings and decide what would be the best and the least destructive way to address them. If you are a witness to a killing, you may be reflecting on changes going on around you that you don't particularly like.



SHOOTING someone or being shot yourself may reflect aggression, powerlessness, release of strong and dangerous emotions, and/or symbolize a conclusive event in a particular situation or relationship.



Dreaming about a WAR or a battle suggests that the dreamer has internal conflict. One part of personality or psyche may be battling with another for control and the dream reflects this internal war. Another reason for dreaming about war is that you may be faced with a situation that requires you to be aggressive or assertive and to come to terms with opposition. War veterans and others who have experienced war first hand may, from time to time, have such dreams based on memory and trauma.

This dream was an interpreation of your growth from childhood into adulthood. Your aunt and mother dying was symbolic of what happens to our relatives when they get older. The other kids are the memebers of your generation that you will grow up and grow old with. The boy you kissed is the symbol of the lover you will eventually take and start family with. It does not necessarily mean him but he is a symbol.

Dreams are essentially your mind playing out what occurred at an earlier point usually the day before. Your mind doesn't shut down when you go to sleep, it tries finish unfinished business and unresolved issues even after you've gone to sleep. Seems like you're trying to figure out a way to be with your friend, and there are some boundaries that are getting in the way.

when you dream your brain is sorting stuff out... like stuff that happened to you in the past and stuff you think about and stuff you watch on TV and movies, and it all gets mixed up and gets weird and half the time doesn't make sense... so I don't think it means anything

by a history, i'm assuming you mean that you used to flirt a bit but nothing came out of it...



all this dream is telling you is that you still care about him, even if it is just as a friend. you're probably not as close to him since he started going out with his gf, and you wish you could be closer. it doesn't neccesarily mean you like him in a romantic way.

Don't let it bug you it's just a dream. Dreams are the way your brain organizes things and thoughts from the day. It makes sense that if you were feeling something, you dreams would react towards that. Don't let it bother you. Everyone has crazy dreams once in a while.

maybe you're subsconciously attracted to him. a dream is basically a subconscious running wild, so i'd say you have feelings for him that you haven't experienced in waking life yet. as for the war thing, maybe there is something in your life causing you unrest.

That is the holocaust, maybe your scared of it happening again.

Sounds like War of the Worlds, your entire family is wiped out and all you care about is why he kissed you? Go back to sleep.

Having a best friend that you slept with in your past could lead to dreams like this. I don't think it means anything at all.

Remember that dreams could easily mean nothing at all or particular details could be symbolic instead of literal. A psychologist told me that dreams are what we make them and I agree--sometimes things seem to be really meaningful in my dreams and sometimes they are random or just ridiculous. I found this dream dictionary site which makes a lot of sense if you want to read into your dreams. It says:



"If you are kissing a close friend, then it represents your respect and adoration for your friend. You are seeking some intimate closeness that is lacking in some waking relationship. It may or may not signify a romantic interest for him or her."



So perhaps you wish you were more open with each other or you aren't as mentally close as you'd like.

I have pretty vivid dreams too... Don't worry. What it sounds like to me is maybe you subconsciously worry about losing loved ones. I live with my grandparents and sometimes have dreams that in which they die. It is a terrifying thought to lose ones you love. On the part about your friend, I think he was just there to comfort you. Maybe you do have feelings deep down for him, that doesn't mean you have to act on them. Dreams sometimes stem from subconscious thoughts and worries. There are tons of books you can read and websites you can go to that explain different dream meanings.

1.) even though you THINK you dont have feelings for him, you actually, deep down, like him. You're probably mistaking it for just friendship feelings when its actually something more.



or if you POSITIVE that theres nothing there between you and him...



2.) it might just be telling you that hell be there for you and that you feel comfortable and safe around him even if your not going out.

First of all, you should never be scared of your dreams because they are there to help you. If you have dreams of war, it could mean that you havent been feeling like yourself and something is on your mind but u dont know what it is. And the thing about you kissing your guy frend definetly means you want him. After having one super freaky dream tho, u probably wont have dreams or u'll have more freaky dreams, and the best thing to do is talk to sum1 bout it so u know what ur mind is trying to tell u.
