How long has my wife been pregnant

My wife and I were married in Februrary, soon after the wedding my wife began to discharge a smelly brownish red liquid after sex and had a heavy flowing period for three weeks out four for two months in a row. She took three dollar store pregnancy tests all of which were positive. She went to see her obgyn where she learned she had a tampon stuck in her vagina. She was also given a urine pregnancy test which was negative. A week after the tampon was removed we went to the ER due to a clear vaginal discharge and cramping. We thought there was some kind of infection, but the Drs. didn't find anything. A few days after the ER visit the discharge stopped. When she went back the obgyn June 25 we found out that we are pregnant. Everyone that looks at her thinks she is in her 4th month. Has she been pregnant the whole time?

It sounds like should could very well be close four months pregnant! However, the intense blood flow is concerning, but if the doctor said that she was fine then she probably is. I would say that she was probably at least a month pregnant when she when to the ER with the vaginal discharge and cramping (this is due to the uterus expanding and preparing for the baby). I just think that the test she took there came up neg. because she might not have had enough HCG hormone (the hormone that determines whether or not you are pregnant). You could always go to her OBGYN and have them do an ultrasound and they will be able to determine how far long she really is! Good luck and CONGRATS!!! smilies/cheesy.gif

very weird. you will know soon. the doctor will do a ultrasound to find out how far along she is. she could have gotten pregnant anytime. just a guess- she was probably not pregnant with the bleeding. he body was trying to push out the tampon so she was bleeding. she is lucky she did not develop a infection or toxic shock syndrome. during the ER visit she could have been pregnant but to early to read on a test. good luck with everything. and congrats on your baby.

Really hard to say. The tampon issue really threw her body out of whack so the best way to tell will be with an ultrasound. They will probably do one at her first appointment just to check things out.

The doctors will be able to tell you once they do an ultrasound. It may be just a rough guess if she is about 4 mths pregnant but at least you will know.

The doctors should be able to give you a roundabout time frame of how far along she is when you go in for your ultra sound.
