I think a king size bed would be perfect..even if he does roll alot.. we had the same problem with our son so we had to actually put the bed up against the wall and sleep on the outside.. My lil man is 5 and he still sleeps with us.. when we put him in his bed he sleepwalks in there anyways.. Ignore all the idiots who ask why he dosen't sleep in his own bed, he will want his independence soon enough..

I think the answer is easy. What size bed do the two of you adults prefer, and get the child to sleep in their own bed. Their are many toddler beds with built-in side rails to protect them from falling out of bed at night. Many beds are built low to the floor, and (if concerned) you can even place a body pillow along the bed on the floor, should they fall out. If the bed does not come with the rails they are very affordable and work on any beds.
Parenting is rewarding and tiring. You and yours need a good nights sleep and privacy, and your little one needs to learn to sleep alone, and in their own bed. I wish you sweet dreams and hope you find this helpful.

Mam, why don't you get 1 full size for the 2 adluts, a1 twin bedfor the 2 yr.old, maybe he wouldn't move so much if he had his own bed, maybe the first few nights getting used to the bed, but would not afterwards.; or a day bed,for the child, mam its up to you of course, but I personally would be afraid of the child that small sleeping in a large bed, and falling out it and getting hurt really bad, a twin bed you can purchase smaller mattresses for it, or get 1 bunk bed, they have smaller mattresses, closer to the floor. I hope this helps, youcould turn the daybed up against the wall, and he couldn't fall out.And maybe him knowing that this is all his, he might calm down in the middle of the night!Just a thought.

I'm assuming you are referring to a hotel room.
Yes, a king size is fine as far as roomy, but not so great if the child moves a lot. My husband and seven year old can sleep in a king with no problem, but when my boys were younger, they moved too much and it was better to have two queens.

This is not a good idea that he is sleeping with you that it is a proven fact that parents have rolled ontop of their children forgetting that they were there, and was killed instantly. Can I suggest that you get him his own bed with rails. Please for the childs sake.

your son should have his own bed. It would be healthier for your relationship and for your son if he didn't get used to sleeping with you all the time. I never let my kids sleep with me and my boyfriend unless there is an extreme situation

not good...u shouldnt let ur 2 yr old child sleep with u! In some states they consider that child abuse. Besides can u imagine when he's 17 and STILL SLEEPING WITH MOMMY AND DADDY?!?!? He's old enough to sleep by himself in his own bed in his own room

he has to sleep with you? maybe the best thing is buy a queen size bed then buy a toddler bed. so he will know he is not supposed to sleep with you anymore.
and it will be comfortable for ya'll.

Why would a 2 year old be sleeping with adults? He should be in his own bed in his own room.

well i think you should get him his own bed. eventually he'll get too big to fit with 2 adults so 2 full size beds is your best bet.

I would go with a King. You should all go into the store and roll about on one! Try before you buy.
