Each woman is different. You don't normally produce milk till the baby is a day or so old. You can start producing colostum anytime, each woman is different. You may be one who waits till right after the baby is born this is fine. The hormones from babies birth will make it come in. If you are worried you can talk to the doctor.

Every woman seems to be different. With my first pregnancy i was leaving wet marks on the shirts at 32 wks. With my second pregnancy i didn't have that problem until 36 wks then 1 day before my son was born i started leaking. But nothing major until my boys were 2 days old then all of a sudden i would wakeup soaked. This time around I am 26 wks 3 days and just leaking enough to leave a tiny barely seen wet spot on my bra but not going through to my shirt.

It's different for all women, some start early, the 'average' is starting around 28 weeks, but a lot of women don't start until after the baby is born, and it hasn't affected a good proportion of those womens ability to breastfeed.

Sometimes women will start to produce colostrum as early as 28 weeks. Some don't start to produce it at all until they deliver their baby. You're actual milk won't come in until a day or two after you deliver.

I just had my son 3 months ago. I never lactated. I was always wondering the same thing and nothing! I decided not to breast feed and everyone said I would lactate but never did.
