how long has it been? they seem a little close for the beginning of labor, but all the same, go to the hospital and ask questions later. it might be nothing, like false labor. better safe than sorry.

if it's any consolation, a baby at 36 weeks isn't too weird. it should be fine.

good luck and i hope it's just false labor so you can call your midwife and have the homebirth you want!

Always call your midwife or doctor if you experience any health changes during pregnancy. Do not go to the hospital before calling, as you do not want to be sent back home again disappointed if you are not far enough along. Telephone the hospital emergency department if you cannot reach your health team. The hospital will give you instructions. Drink two glasses of water and lay down on your left side while you are calling to help prevent premature birth.

Here is how you can tell real labor from false labor:

Call your midwife then go to the hospital so they can check you to see how dilated you are... but even if you are in prelabor it may be a while for you...

I was in labor from 30 weeks to 36 weeks. I had contractions alll throughout that time that would get close together then stop. my lower back would hurt. At 32 weeks I was dilated to a one. 50 percent effaced.... A couple of days later.... a four.... 4 weeks later a 6... 90 percent effaced... finally then they decided, after trying to stop it, to just let it go. I had my son at 36 weeks.

labor is a tricky deal. everyone is different but you should def get checked to make sure!!

GOOD LUCK!!! and CONGRATS!!

I doubt you'll read this, since you probably went to the hospital . . . but always call your health care provider when in doubt. All of us friendly strangers wish you the best, and want you to have a happy healthy labor and delivery, but we don't know your medical history, and we could be crazy crackpots for all you know.

Good luck! My labor experience was pretty good, as far as labor goes, and I hope yours is too!

7 MIN APART IS CUTTING IT CLOSE, IT IS POSSIBLE YOU HAVE BEEN IN LABOUR FOR LONGER THAN YOU THINK , SO YES I WOULD CALL YOUR DOCTOR OR MIDWIFE ASAP. HAVE YOU NOTICE ANY BLOODY SHOW YET??? MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE WITH YOU AT THIS TIME IN CASE YOUR LABOR PROGRESSES FAST.

Usually you'd head to the hospital when they are 5 minutes apart

and for an hour...it seems a little early for that ...a week or

2 from full term !

I would see my doc and make sure that they are Braxton

Hicks and not labor

You are 7 minutes apart. So try drinking 2 glasses of water and laying down. If they keep getting closer, then go in. Its prolly just braxton hicks, though.

If you think you're in labor, go to a hospital, don't get on a computer and ask Yahoo Answers.

So rather than calling the doctor or going to the hospital, you are asking on yahoo answers . . . very intelligent.
