It may be selfish to want or hope that they are gay. But just keep in mind its the childs choice to express their views and beliefs in their own ways. If they are gay then they are gay if not then they arent. As long as they are happy. Thats all that matters. I once wondered this question if my children were going to be gay. I am taking care of 5 kids. One my own and 4 of my sisters. And her youngest boy seems to like everything to high heals to scarves to dresses. Its all their expressions of their emotions. i can see that you have a male name and a female avitar... don't you want people to accept you for who you are? i agree it may be easier for you to relate (if you are gay and your child is straight, or vice versa) but that's what parents do... love their children as they come...

Yes it is wrong. Its just as wrong to hope or want straight children. Your children should be loved and feel welcome for who they are not who you think they should be.

To each their own. I believe that everyone should hope and want their kids to be happy and healthy in whatever they do and let life take them where ever it goes.
