I`m a 16 year old babysitter who gets lots of regular jobs. I have a ton of experience because I grew up in a home day care that my mom had and she taught me everything I know.
I charge $9 an hour for any age up to 3 children, then its $12 an hour. CPR certification and knowing baby sign language is a big plus.
$2/hour? Are you kidding? I`m not an animal! Thats less than minimum wage. Maybe that was normal in the 50s...
I dont let the parents pick how much to pay me for watching their kids. I pick the amount every time. I am very responsible and the parents would be getting what they paid for. The child would never be sitting in a wet or dirty diaper with food on their face, sticky hands, and a messy outfit.

Most of the time teenage babysitters get about $2 per child per hour.
Nanny's and older sitters get a lot more, parents employ teenagers so that they don't have to spend as much. Day cares and nanny's are expensive.
I wouldn't go over $4 an hour per kid, it really depends on the financial situation of the person your sitting for.

Resonably the parent would have to pay:
Tx= $6 ph
Ca= $7 ph
Ny= $6 ph
Fl= $8 ph
Ge= $8 ph
They could give the babysiter raise. If they and theie kid/s like the babysiter
And the sitter should be payed more if there are children under 10mts.
The parents should pay an additanol $1-3 for extra kids.
At the start I would give $6.50 an hour peorsenaly.
Hope I helped! Good luck with the babysitter!

if you have CPR certification you could charge more. However, try to cover your expenses for the evening, getting there, and food. Maybe even getting there the next time. Think ahead. It also would depend on whether this is someone you are very close to and how much they can afford to pay you!

I live in a (not to brag) EXTREMELY rich neighborhood (I'm not really that rich though). Anyways, I get $15 an hour to babysit, and $6 for mother's helper. Idk where you live, but I'd say 8/9/10/11 bucks.

I would never let a 14teen yr old babysit my kids. But if the kids was around 3 or 4 I would pay 7-10 a hour

it depends on the parents income. if they ge well paid then i'd charge more. $15 to $20 a hour.
