Its ok you shouldn't care what people would look at you and think, also most people don't go around in the mall going " HA YOU LOOK LIKE ANGELINA JOLIE! BURN!"

If you're not comfortable with that then don't do it. You and your husband need to come to a decision you can both live with for the rest of your lives. If either of you is unhappy with a life-altering (and expensive!) decision then you will grow to resent the other person.



Just speak with him about his reasons for his choice and explain yours and see if you can come to a compromise.



By the way - there is nothing wrong with adopting interracially or internationally. There is no stigma attached to it. A child is a child when in need or not and you should adopt from wherever you feel you are called to. The child who is meant to become a family with you will be put in your path when you do.

Even if people do look at you like Angelina Jolie, is that really such a bad thing??? You are giving a child a chance at a good life because you actually care. If it wasn't for you, that one child you are planning to adopt may have died in a year from starvation or disease. Please adopt a baby for the sake of them. Don't care what other people think. talk it over with ure hubby and tell him your concerns is it rlly you dont want people looking at u weird or is it more then that is it a case where there is hardly any black kids in ure neighborhood?(just asking) and ure doing a great thing with adopting a baby from another country because you giving them a chance at a life they may never of had. You shouldn't care what people think. You should feel great because your taking in a less fortunate child and loving him or her as your own. Have you told him that? The reason you don't want to adopt a Mexican or African American baby because you don't want people to look at you like your Angelina Jolie

Why does it matter what people think, or look at you like. She isn't the only one that does that, she was already famous, so of course they had to go crazy over the idea of her adopting from a different country. Adopting from overseas is a great thing, think about the child first, not what people are going to think of you.

Then talk to him about it...you can always adopt from Japan or Korea..Im Japanese Korean and White..and Ive always wanted to adopt from Japan or Korea...on top of having my own children.

then express those feelings. maybe compromise and try to apopt a baby who is half asain half white! you need to be sturn with him.

talk to him about your concerns. there are plenty of babies in the usa that need good homes
