People generally don't leave well enough alone in the debate because they either feel their side is the 'right' side or it makes them feel 'better' about themselves for having chosen the 'right' way, and therefore they're 'better' than the other person who doesn't do the same as them.



Personally, I don't give a rat's behind if someone else breastfeeds, formula feeds, uses disposable diapers or cloth diapers or whether or not they vaccinate. It's their choice for their baby, whether or not I agree with it - and who the hell am I to try to force MY wishes upon THEM?



As long as the baby is happy and healthy, isn't that all that matters?

t is the mothers choice how she feeds her baby, the important thing is that they are getting fed. if formula was sooo bad for babies, why isn't it illegal? breast is best i would agree, but i and most of the people i know were formula fed and are perfectly healthy.

using that logic cigarettes must not be bad for you because they aren't illegal. otherwise I would have to agree with you, there are a few very narrow minded people who see some perversity in breastfeeding. talk about maladjusted!!! I agree. I just tell people to shut up when they crucify me for bottle feeding. They dont like me, but hey, Im taking care of my baby and not trying to win a popularity contest. I and everyone that bottlefeeds, does NOT have to explain why we do it. I agree that Breast feeding is best, but formulas good too. If it wasnt, than all the formula fed babies out there wouldnt be healthy. I dont care if I get a million thumbs down either. Its nobodys business.

It is a mothers choice how she feeds her baby. I say a mother should TRY as hard as she can before giving up. Breastfeeding is so hard to begin with but gets SOOOO EASY over time. Lots of women just give up becuase it is easier 'apparently' to bottle feed (Crap). I had to give up breast feeding at 5 months and felt completely devestated by that. My next child I will try my HARDEST to breast feed for a whole year.

I don't believe in 'JUST NOT WANTING TO BREASTFEED'.. Ahhh I could go on forever.. Again such an Ouchie Topic!

Here Here!!!!!..... People need to leave others alone and let them do what is best for them and the baby. No one has the right to tell you how to feed a newborn, both ways should be taught at anti natal classes and both should be considered NORMAL.

I agree with you completely! Though breast is best, let's just face it... not everyone can do it or chooses to do it! People need to do what works for mom and baby. I think the world would be better if people just accepted everyone's differences and different choices - and, focused on being great parents!

I agree . I bottled fed my kids just for the fact that I just did not want to bother with breast feeding. Shame on me! My doctor had faith and so did I that the formulas I used did well for my babies. My kids are all grown now and they turned out to be quiet healthy and not even fat.

Really, no mother needs to be bothered with opinions that are unsolicited. Just do your thing and ignore their comments. I tried to breast feed, but found that I was not producing enough milk and had to supplement with bottles. Ain't nobody dead.

I know that ppl are judgmental.. but why are you taking it to heart... YOU know you have done the best for your child... Let the rest of the World go take a hike.. the fact that it is a issue with you is concerning... WHY let teh WORLD and their opnions effect you... teh reson you are not breastfeeding is also your own... adn dont need to be justified to anyone...

Agreed...there are just those out there that are militant about what they think is right! I wonder what will happen if their child grows up, has their own kids, and chooses to do the opposite of what they did!?!? Would they be that judgmental to their own child? I hope not.

I totally agree! Everyone does whats right for them and others need to offer support not judgement. Why is it that everyone thinks a mother of a newborn/young baby wants their opinion?

Agreed...As if you would change the way you parent because some idiot on the internet said you should. Just keep loving and caring for your child; that's all that counts!
