Infant gas...what worked for you

I tried colic calm, and it did not help. Right now, we are taking the gas drops, and they do work..But, has anyone tried other things? Massage, fennel tea, etc.? Any idea at what age they grow out of this? My baby just turned 4 mo. Thanks

i used mylicon drops for awhile, i havent used for quite a while though. i rub his tummy now and it works, also giving my baby a pat on the back helps to, i also would put him over my lap face down and eaither pat, massage, or scratch his back and he would stop fussing, and start to fall asleap or just lay there and relax. i hope i helped. good luck. and congrats on your little one. oh and i breastfed, but when i gave him water or juice, i used playtex airflow, bottles they worked wonders.

The mylicon gas drops usually work pretty good, but if your baby is experiencing excess gas, you may need to take him/her to the pediatrician. My son was gassy until he was 6 months, when we switched his formula and put him on Reglan for reflux. Ways you can help get the gas out, bouncing on your knee, putting your baby on his/her tummy and patting on the back (I patted up and down my son's back). There's plenty of ways to try, hopefully those two will help you. Tummy massages are good, too, because they stimulate the bowels. Good luck, and if all else fails, consult your child's doctor. He/she may need Zantac or something to help diminish the gas.

I never used any of the products for gas because I found that if you just push their legs up toward their stomach (sometimes it takes a few times) then the gas works its way out.

infacol, gripe water, a bit of warm water with the tiniest bit of sugar works well too...

We have had the same problem with our 3.5 month old. Our ped. told us to give her 1/4 tsp. Mylanta every 6 hours. It has done wonders!
