I would not spank a child every time they do something wrong. That gives them the idea it's ok to "hit" when things don't suit them.



I would give 1 warning and then 1 consequence for the actions and that could be time out away from TV, video games, telephone, etc.



Only time I ever smacked a child's behind was when they ran after me on a crowded and busy parking lot. They scared me so bad it was reaction on my part. Of course that 1 well placed swat taught them to NEVER do that again.

this may sound wierd but my mom got spanked every day. discipline where she is from is called child abuse there. she got spanked for what she was gonna do i do not suggest spanking your kids like that. only as a last resort.

No, I never spank ever. When I see parents doing it in public, I feel so sorry for the kid and embarrassed for the parent for losing control.
