do you think its irresponsible to elt ur 15 year old daughter go on a plane by herself to another state to visit her older brother and ur nephew? My parents are letting me go on a plane by myself all the way to Wisconsin, I live in texas. what do u think? i think i can handle it
To me, 15 seems like a good age to do this, as long as they know YOU know what to do. If you have planned it out well and discussed all scenarios and situations (bumped flights, how to handle yourself alone, etc), it seems okay. They probably want to teach you responsibility.

It depends on the 15 year old, the brother and nephew. If the brother and/or nephew are hard to take care of then yes it is irrisponsible. If the 15 year old is generally irresponsible herself. Then She should not be alowed to go. But If everyone is civilized in public then it will be fine as long as they 1.) all stay together and 2.) already have transportation to where they are going and have a decent place to stay.

I think its fine as long as you pay attention to where you are going and when to board and stuff like that.
My parents have been divorced since I was 1 yr old and at age 3 I was flying by myself from Texas to Missouri 2 times a year.
Just let the stewardesses know and they will more than likely help you.
Also you know where you are meeting someone when they pick you up. Make sure not to leave the designated place without them.
Hope you have a safe trip.

No, but you won't get any help without asking for it because your ticket will be for an adult.
Also no one will sit with you on the plane because ... you ticket will be an adults.
I am 15 and I go on my own to America (I live in the UK), I go to Georgia, Atlanta sooo it's not irresponsible .. tad lonely also if your scared of flying (like me) then it's well scarey.
hope this helps.

Yes-I flew by myself when I was 16. The only thing I would suggest is having your parents pay for a flight attendant to escort you to meet your brother & such.
On my way home from Pittsburgh, my flight got cancelled and since my parents paid for someone to make sure I was okay, the airline paid for me to stay at the Hyatt Hotel attachted to the airport and gave me free food vouchers!

Umm, I have a friend with a 9 yr old and 5 yr old and the 9 yr old just flew from Tennessee to Texas alone. The mother was a wreck, but found a safe couple with children who were willing to help her child onto teh plane.

Obviously your parents trust you and think that you are responsible enough to do this on your own, so no I don't think it's irresponsible, especially if you are comfortable with it. If you weren't then that would be a different story.

I do not think that it is responsible to do that. You do not know what can happen between Texas and Wisconsin.... very irresponsible.

No, since you are a minor you won't be alone. Somebody on the plane and airport will accompany you and make sure all your information is right. So at least you will have company.

nope, if you're responsible enough to do it, then it's fine. it'll just be a plane ride by yourself. it's not like you'll have to transfer onto buses or transfer to a taxi or anything major.

Not at all. As long as you know the rules of not talking to anyone or going anywhere with anyone, you should be fine. Stay in sight of video cameras and people working at the airport.
Have a great visit!

Why would it be irresponsible? It's definitely ok if the 15 year old can handle it! If the 15 year old is immature, well that's another story.

My friend went when she was 13 from here in Ireland to America on her own, so a 15 yr old could do it no bother.

No not at all.
Plenty of kids have done it, shouldn't be a problem. Since you are a minor, there will be someone assisting you. So no worries!
And have fun too =)
