I am a liberal and I don't respect most liberal politicians or media because they don't temper their beliefs with objectiveism or reality. Right now, I respect Pat Buchanan because he is honest and practical. Less partisan. During the 2000 Florida election he got an overwhelming number of votes in the older Jewish communities, this is the hanging chad controversy. Later he was on a cable show and said that there was no reason he should have gotten those votes since he didn't campaign there and Gore should have gotten them. People were just confused. I was amazed, an honest politician and commentator. Also he liked Hillary because all of the other talking heads were beating up on her. He is my guy

Evangelicals generally support Israel because of biblical connection, but Jews generally oppose Christian views. That is puzzling to me. Would they prefer to stand alone against the Arab hoard?

In politics the liberals are remaking Bush into a monster. Remember 9-11 liberal people? You have forgotten that we are at war with the rag heads, all of them. They have a long view of history, so we have to give them a quick lesson in which the outcome is: 'We should not have started this!'

But for the most part, I want to be free, to Say what I want, Worship as I want, Live where I want, Raise my children as I please, Teach them respect for one another and Work so that they can pay their own way! I do not want someone doing these things for me and then telling me that I owe them. I don't want them to tell me What to think, What I can say, How or Where I can live, If they really think that they descended from an ape that is fine. But I do not want them teaching my children that. I don't want them to tell me how I should believe. I don't want them to tell me that my beliefs are wrong when they can not even tell the truth about Teddy Kennedy and Chappaquiddick and Mary Jo Kopechne. Or what about Al Gore inventing the Internet? Is there anything that they can tell you the truth about? Or Clinton's behavior in the white house. Or Jimmy Carter telling President Bush how to run the country when he was undoubtedly the worst American President to ever hold office! The list goes on!

Well, if we're talking historically there are plenty, but if you want a conservative I respect today, right now, an example is Colin Powell. I have no problems with conservatives in general, but far too many of them aren't even real conservatives. It's depressing.
