Politics & Government -
Elections
Because they are hypocrites, someof whom suffer from cognitive dissonance. Others care more about the unborn than the living.Still others manipulate the issue to deceive voters to support, Republican, right wing, warmongering, politicians
There is a big difference between an innocent baby and an enemy of freedom. I don't like poverty either but it is not the primary function of government to bail out everybody when they hit hard times.

Maybe because so many of them are working through private agencies, faith based groups, missions, etc. They are there organizing the food drops into famine areas. They are driving the trucks and handing out the food in Appalachian areas, Africa. etc. They are sneaking across African borders and digging the wells under cover of darkness to avoid getting shot by rebels. They are collecting money and then risk life and limb to buy slaves and return them to freedom. They are already flying over to repair the cleft palates of children in third world countries. They are adopting the children living in orphanages, sometimes in deplorable conditions. They are making and mailing care packages for our soldiers. They are volunteering in the hospitals. They are too busy doing things to change the world in a positive way to spend all of their time protesting. And when they feel that protest is the only way--they get off their butts and do that too. So go over there and whine and complain so the rest of us can work hard and can actually get something done.

Poverty: We don't protest it, because we believe in personal responsibility. I never SEE any liberals protesting poverty.
War: When dealing with enemies of our country, why would we protest such idiocy? We are strong because of our military, who protects our freedoms.

Learn to distinguish between the innocense of the unborn and the adults that CAUSE war and poverty and you will be able to answer your own question. Responsibility for your actions is not a societal requirement of the unborn.

You need lots and lots of people to fight good war, and poverty to keep their wage demands down and willingness to fight up. That is the basic reason way some can't see irony your question asks about difference between eighteen weeks and year old.

Or capital punishment in large numbers? Seem to me they're more "anti-choice" than "pro-life" unless they pick and choose what lives they're "pro."

so your saying that because war and poverty exists, its ok to kill babies?
Why don't we flip that around; why dont anti-war people focus on stopping little babies from being aborted before they focus on the grown ups.

No triumph of peace is so great as the supreme triumphs of war.
Republicans do give to the less fortunate.

Right. And oppose the death penalty.
The answer is that pro-life is really a euphemism for anti-choice.

War is sometimes the wise course of action and necessary to end tyranny and protect freedom.
Poverty is the result of individuals who reject the education they were given at great cost and those individuals are usually in the poor position they find themselves in because of their own negligence or stupidity. We are very charitable when someone is a victim of circumstances beyond their control.
Pro-lifers find MOST abortions are just murdering a child as a convenience and is an effort to avoid responsibility for their bad actions.
Refusal to take responsibility for your own welfare and for the results of MISUSE of Rights and Freedoms is probably the greatest cause of almost ALL of our major social problems in America.
With Freedom and Rights come RESPONSIBILITY.
Are you responsible for your actions.....or do you want everyone else to bear the burden of your misdeeds?
