Kribensis, they lay about 100 eggs whenever they spawn (Usualy once every 2 monthes, depends on the pair. It takes so much time between each spawn cuz they take care of the babies) The parents take care of the fry and the fry eat liquid fr food untill they are old enough to eat powereder food and then move up to regular flakes. Once they are big enough, any fish store will take the babies. Things you will need-

1. 20 gallon tank

2. VERY fine sand substrate.

3. 2-3 sponge filters

4. 1 small clay pot

5. Lots of plants (Live or fake, Kribs love a well planted tank.)

6. Top for tank and light.



After you have the tank set up, go to the fish store and ask for a pair of kribensis. The females have deep red bellies and are ussualy smaller than males. after a week or so, you will find a yellow blob on the pot. That is the eggs. The eggs are on the top on the inside of the pot. Bear in mind that this picture is EXTREAMLY zoomed in and the eggs will be much smaller in real life. Good luck, it is very fun to watch the parents protect the fry and care for them, but once they are 2 monthes old the parents will spawn again, and once the fry are 2 inches long (More or less) they can be sold to the local pet store. Good Luck. =)

live bearers such as guppies and mollies breed constantly and give birth once a month to up to 100 fry.and keep sperm packets so if there is no male they can get prego up to 6 months! and they dont lay eggs so u dont have to wait for them to hatch.

If you want a LOT of baby fish then I would recommend going with guppies. The females can have 5-100 fry every 28 days. Just be careful to separate her from the babies or she will eat them!

I see irresponsible breeding goes on in the fish world too, not just horses and dogs. Such a shame.

Guppies and Mollies are prolific breeders. We started with two Mollies and a month later we had well over 30.
