I really dont get it

why do people give you thumbs down if you gave a good answer and when you check there are dumber answers than urs and they givee the person a thumbs up

I suspect the people giving them the thumbs up are their contacts or fans. I know, it's very annoying when they do that. Especially when the answer is not all that good.
