I don't think any of the professors from Harry's generation has a spouse... except for Lupin (he got a spouse eventually).

Not that I can recall. None of Hogwarts had spouses at least while they were still teaching at Hogwarts. But some had spouses later at least. Sirius's grandfather was Headmaster at Hogwarts and he apparently had some offspring or there would be no sirius. I don't know how their relatioinships were supposed to have worked. Its an interesting thought though, that I've always wondered about as well.

I wondered the same thing.lol!!
it so happens that the teachers during harry's time were mostly not-married...
but it doesn't mean none of them were married...i mean they can go to to Hogsmeade...apparate and then be back in time for school........isn't it?
lol!!

They do have spouses, JKR told us so in an interview a long time ago. The professors are allowed to leave the castle and they see their spuses during the holidays and/or summer break.

They are like priests and nuns. They gave up relationships like that to go into teaching.
