Depends on the state and whether it is tribal or corporate. Most states allow employers to reduce your hourly wage to compensate for tips.



best paying hourly jobs: Bartender- lots of steady tips. Table games, not so stable tips but pay extra for dealing Craps, Roulette, Baccarat.



Beverage servers can do good, but a lot depends on shift and section. These are usually bid out with the people with the most seniority bidding first. Everybody else makes 10-15 dollars an hour. except housekeeping (minimum wage) and valet- mostly tips and they don't usually run a lot.



Surveillance pays Table games floor supervisor rate, unless they are using security guards , then it is 10% over regular security guard pay. (about 1/2 of what "floors" make)

Generally $10 -$12 an hour. Not great but you can get lots of OT>
