YES!!! I love the fact that it will be cut into two halves. It annoys me more than anything when they cut things out. Makes me feel like the people who didn't read the books aren't getting the full expeirence and quite frankly I want to see everything on the big screen. I think that it would be very beneficial to the film makers because think about it! They are getting double money! Haha. I won't want to wait for Deathly Hallows 2. But Hey! It will be worth it!



Now I just wonder when they are going to stop the first movie...Hmmm.

I have to agree that I support it. To do the book justice, it should be at least 4 parts, or a TV mini-series....



One of the most disappointing things about movies based on books - and the HP movies are no exception - is that they cut out so much *important* stuff. In the case of the HP movies particularly, they cut out *gobs* of important stuff so that they can extend the time spent showing off their special effects **far beyond** what is described in the books (the Dragon part of the Triwizard Tournament went on *forever*)!



The second thing about movies from books that is a source of complaint are the *changes* made to the story. If it's so popular that you're bothering to make it into a movie, why change? Except for the extended special effects scenes, the HP movies are pretty good about *not* changing the story too much, only just enough to cover for all of the things that are left out. The exception: in movie 1, Hermione's character is written as a real jerk, quite a change from the books.



So, it *is* better that it will be in two parts, but don't get your hopes up. They're *still* going to cut out gobs of the really important things, and they're *still* going to cut out even more stuff so that you can watch Voldy flying for what seems like hours, or the dragon rampaging through Gringotts for 20 minutes.....

Actually no i don't! But i guess its a good idea since nothing important is getting left out.... i just don't like the fact that we'll have to wait a long time for part 2 to come out once part 1 comes out..Its like seeing a movie but leaving half way in the middle, not knowing the ending. Is it going to be a "to be continued..." thing? or will they resolve the 1st part some how so the fans who don't read the books aren't like, "what?" And i wonder how they're going to do the DVD's with it. Will they have part 1 and 2 sold together and released at the same time or what?

yes and no, it may be longedr but I heard they won't be going along with a lot of stuff in the book (but when have they ever?but it will be worse than usual) and I'm afraid it won't be as good as I hope, but I'm afraid I"m still going to see it.(and if they don't cut out snae dying i wil cry most likly when that happens..)

ABSOLUTELY! At least this way, they will be able to put many more important parts into the movie and perhaps it wil be better than the last two have been!



Did you know that they contemplated making GoF two parts as well? i personally think they should have. that movie felt very rushed and uncomplete compared to the book.

We have to wait another 7 months for the DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 to come out! Lol.

To tell you the truth i was sooo mad and sad when I heard this. I actually almost cryed!!LOL. But now I thought about it and I think it is way better this way. I am so happy about it being split into 2. That means they will probably put every sentence of the book into the movie and the movies wont be over in 2010 like they would have been if it was just 1 movie.

I do, the last few movies have been SO bland and unrecognizable. Hopefully they'll find a new screen writer and do justice to the last book . (though on another website someone pointed out that the last book was basically just them camping out in the woods not too exciting)

Yes, but I wish they didn't come out so far apart. Why couldn't they come out at they same time? I mean, show the first half of the movie, give us an hour or so, intermission. That way we could get off our buts for a while and eat some real food. Oh well! Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

i think some of the others should have been two parts or at least epic length... they only have one chance at getting them right. the goblet of fire should have been two films as well... hell maybe all of them should have after the prisoner of azkaban lol

I'm all for it, if it means they won't be cutting out some of my favorite scenes like they have in the previous movies. I think it's annoying that they will be coming out at different times though. I'd like to be able to watch Part 1 then immediently buy my ticket for Part 2.

Yes!!! This way they'll keep like... EVERYTHING in it! Well maybe not everything, but you get the point. I think (though it's more of a hassle) that it's better this way, because in the other movies, they just basically cut all the important parts out.

I like it - this way they'll have to include every scene! Hey it's a good idea, I mean after all it's the last HP movie, soo.. the longer the better!

Only thing I hate - Part 1 release is 2010 or something, and Part 2 is 2011 I think...

Yeahhh i do. That way we can see more of the book in the movie. The last movie was soo blah, it need to have more from the book. At least this way we wait for 3 movies instead of just two. DH is wayy too long to fit into one movie anyways.

I'm perfectly happy with this. My big hope was like 2 hours intermission followed by another 2 hours. That way we could get the whole experience at once. It would never be just one movie there's way too many things to encompass with it that we can't miss out on.

Yes, absolutely. That means that more quality and effort can be put into the project. We'll have at least four hours of Potter action, the special effects will be amazing, and the acting will be terrific.

When i first heard that it was going to be split in 2 parts, i didnt like the idea. But it makes the movies seem longer.

I just hope that they release the films quite close to each other, I don't want an annoying cliffhanger, like they did with Pirates of the Caribbean! [[-: x

Yes and No. Because it'l take some time to ee the second part and I like it because I would also be verry bored watching a 4 hour movie! But thats just my opinion....
