Thiagarajar College was one of the first Govt colleges to be opened along with CEG ,GCT, REC etc.

It has a good placement cell and some top class alumni.The staff is upto mark.

The college campus is fairly big and is close to the Thiruparamkundram temple.

The town however does not offer you any great hangouts though you could go to Kodai,Thekkadi,Coutrallam Falls or Kumbakarai falls,Vaigai Dam which are more nearby.

Good place to study.
