It's suppose to be considered a homosexual act on yourself. Homosexuality is condoned in the bible. It also displays a lack of self control and uncleaness which are not considered to be virtures of the spirit sort of speak.

I found some scriptural info that may help you in this matter. Consider Colossians 3:5, which reads: “Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness.” And 1 Thessalonians 4:4, 5 says: “Each one . . . should . . . get possession of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in covetous sexual appetite such as also those nations have which do not know God.”

The word "masturbation" is not in the bibles. The closest connected phrase is against a man "spilling his seed on the ground."

The religious leaders wanted their followers to not waste any sperm but to have as many children as possible so that they could all be followers of and subservient to and contribute their money to those who would be the leaders. One way to reach that goal is the often used tactic of trying to make people feel guilty and therefore inferior to the leader who secretly did the very thing he preached against. Think! If one bible says it's okay and another says it is a sin, must one be right and the other wrong? Let's seek to be tolerant of each other's ways as long as one does no harm to another.

It is not specifically mentioned anywhere in the bible which does condemn adultery and also sodomy which apparently was commonly practiced in Sodom and Gomorrah and these two very wicked cities were apparently destroyed by fire by the Almighty for their sins.



A long time ago either a Pope or a Cardinal publicly condemned masturbation and described it as a "grossly disordered act".

Of course the real question is, "Who cares?" There are minor references in the Bible, but Jesus failed to mention it. It is a normal human activity which causes no one any harm.

A perfectly normal activity, the only safe sex. It also acquaints you with your body. But like everything else, be smart, keep your door shut and locked if needed. It's your very own most private time.
