If it was bright red blood then you probably either has a larger bowel movement than your body is us to. You could have made a slight tear in the area. Of you could have hemorrhoids and the bowel movement just caused the hemorrhoids to bleed.If it was dark red blood than the bleeding is from higher up in the intestines which could be caused from may things. Monitor you bowel movements; if you notice the bright red blood then it might be a good idea to be checked for hemorrhoids just to ease your mind. If you see darker colored blood in your stool then it could be a bleeding stomach ulcer that is located higher up in your bowel tract. That is why it is a dark colored blood.

you might have had a sickness that was causing it or maybe you had, or were getting, hemorrhoids. maybe you just ate something that wasn't agreeing with your stomach and if you went "number 2" too much it could have caused irritation and bleeding. the only way to know for sure would be to go to a doctor. he will probably give you a stool test to take right away or to wait and use if it ever happens again.

Ideally, we are supposed to go "number two" 12 hours after every meal. If you don't go to the bathroom regularly (at LEAST once a day) it can all bunch up, and rip a bit of skin when it comes out.
