What is the best way to ease the itching of a bug bite

its summer-which is also known as bug season. im going crazy, & would like to know some other ways to get rid of these bites, or atleast help the itching. i've tried rubbing alcohol. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Using your fingernail, make an X over the dead center of the bite. This will spread out the bite venom faster, thus relieving the itch. Second thing is to use Hydro cortisone creme on the bite.

Don't scratch, scratching the bug bit actually pops the little pockets of venom that makes it itch. Use some hydrocortisone cream and leave it alone. The other alternative is to go buy the cream made for insect bites!

i know it sounds odd but my nan told me to cut a onion in half and rub that in it has worked for me, old people are'nt that demented lol

put on somegloves so u cant itch yourself!
u could also put on some lotion to stop the itching!

They actually do sell anti-itch bug cream. It might be worth trying (:
