I got burned (not too bad but quite a bit of redness) around the shoulder area. Would it be ok to lay out again after 48 hours or is this going to be bad for my back?
i wouldnt just because you may be making the burn even worse
(i dont think anyone wants itching or redness, it does get annoying)
for the moment being the help cool the itching and redness, i think banana boat or some other company sells an aloe vera gel that will cool and try to stop the redness. it works really well. aloe vera is a very good resource to have because sunburn is soooo common at anytime of the year.
if you do choose to go out in the sun make sure to get a higher SPF level so that you will be more protected and you wont get AS burnt. (try neutrogena cooling sunscreen) it works really good, feels good if you have been out in the sun for awhile because of the cooling factor.

Protect your shoulders and don;t go out in the sun just yet. Use Aloe Ocean- it's a blue gel and works great. Be dafe in the sun. i have never heard of vinegar working and I thin it would sing.

I'd stay out of the sun untill the burn is gone. Suntaning is so bad for you.
