Im sick. Here are the symptoms, what do I have

Day 1 - Slight cough
Day 2 - Bad headache, bad cough, lots of gunk in the back of my throat, skin hurts, dizzy, can't sleep.
Day 3 - Same symptoms as day 2, throat is raw from constant coughing and sneezing, can't eat because of sore throat, , get really cold to the point of shivering even though it is a warm day and I'm wearing lots of layers and sitting by the heater.
Day 4 - Getting better but still can't eat because of sore throat, still coughing a lot, headache coming back and feeling really really hot.

Its now been four days with next to no sleep and no food. What do I have?

Sounds like the flu. It's important that you don't wear lots of layers and sit by the heater. It sounds like you have a fever, and bundling up will only make it worse. Make sure you drink lots of liquids. You can alternate acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil) for the fever and pain. As long as you're getting better instead of worse, I'd probably skip the doctor. He'll only tell you it's a virus and he can't do anything except treat the symptoms.

Seeing that you either forgot to mention or do not have fever, when can assurely eliminate an infecction as a possible diagnosis. The coughing, the sore throath, coughing and sneezing all seem like symptoms of flu/common cold. Sometimes severe cold/flu can make you sensitive con temperature. It is important that you do not take antibiotics by yourself, because all you're going to do is create resistance to it. This seems to be a viral cold, for which there's really not much treatment for it but rest. Still, as you may know, there's no better diagnostic than that of an MD, so go and check yourself. Get Well.

It sounds like you have a bad case of the flu. Expect to continue feeling lousy with gradual improvement.

Have you been traveling lately? Possibly been bitten by a malarial mosquito?

I suggest you see your family doctor ASAP.

sounds like the flu and tonsillitis or strep....go to the doctor asap! I had the same thing a few summers ago and it was horrible! the Doc will give you antibiotics. The z-pack usually works for me!

Feel Better!

Sounds like the flu, but please go to a doctor to rule out anything else. Try eating hot broth.
