Triglycerides, cholestrol and diabetes run through the same gene. Making it more simple there is one gene which determines that you will have diabetes the same gene carries the determination of high triglycerides levels. So it can be one of the symptoms.

Mazher Votes: +0	Diabetes and high triglycerides are both a sign that you have way too many carbohydrates in your diet. Cholesterol levels are usually up there as well. It all has to do with unhealthy diet. Some will argue, but my numbers all dropped significantly when I got on a healthy diet and exercise program. report abuse vote down vote up


Foghorn Leghorn Votes: +0	No!! triglycerides are fats in the blood, not sugar. High triglycerides may be a sign you are eating too many carbos tho. Carbs are stored in the bod as fats. Fats are not stored in the bod, they are filtered out by the kidneys and liver. report abuse vote down vote up
