well...its truly a surprise party because you're not expecting it! And Fiesta idea is great for any party!

where will you have the party, know anyone with a nice backyard and possibly a pool? then figure a guest list and send out invites, and to help save some money on the invites you can ask people to bring a dish relating to your Mexican theme (assign them all different things like bring a side dish, appetizer, drinks, or even all the plates/cups/and utensils, you could have a small insert on there that says "if your last name starts with A-D please bring an appetizer...and if you're E-J please bring a side dish, K-S please bring drinks...etc, try to figure out last names and how much of each item you will have) that way you're not doing it all! how about you supplying taco meat for a taco bar...have other people bring all the extras like shells and stuff. to save money on decorations check out Good Will and thrift stores for good finds like those Mexican blankets you could use for table cloths and fun southwestern serving dishes. go to the dollar store and pick up some bright decorations like red, yellow, orange, and green streamers and balloons...they might even have some Mexican Fiesta type decorations too. and I'd suggest to pick up a pinata or a few of them to use as decorations...you could fill one up for a game later on but depending on what you put in there could add up in price...but you can pick up a bulk bag of candy for like $10 at Sam's Club. down load some mariachi music or mexican type stuff to play for a bit during the party to make you guys feel like you're really in Mexico! get a few mexican hats form a party store if they're cheap enough ....ohhhh get your boyfriend one of those HUGE sombraro hats to wear during the party so he feels really specail! you guys could play pin the tail on the donkey too...donkies are very Mexican. you can make cut outs of cactuses to put up all over. heres a link to a great site for supplies and to help you get more ideas http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/shared...

Try doing a Tex Mex Theme ..

You can buy different colors party paper plates and napkins in a fiesta type color scream and you can keep it simple with stuff like refried beans, tortilla chips, salsa, make your own queso cheese, and just add from there rather you want to service full meal or just snakes , Just remember that it is really the thought and he should love it no matter what.

It might be a little late but what the heck. And make sure he likes surprise birthday parties i know i dont. Dont over do it if you're trying to save money make it small and invite only close friends.

ok hide behind the furniture amd then when he comes in yell suprise and do soemthing that he really likes for him lol
