I suck at everything

I suck at everything and my dad always tells me I suck at everything too. My dad was one of those people who like lived on the streets but was really smart and earned his first million dollars by 21 years old.

Academics: I get bad grades. I get mostly B's and one or two A's. I usually get B-'s in French, Latin, Spanish, Science, and a B+ in History then an A in English and Math.

Sports: I play field hockey, squash, lacrosse, and tennis and am on the JV team for all and varsity for field hockey but people call me unathletic and my boyfriend teases me about my eye-hand coordination (he is the best tennis, squash, and racquetball player at his school). Then I am always doing "ok" but I never get high honors.

Looks: I'm not ugly but I'm not like stunning.

Friends: I started out the year with over 40 inschool friends in a school of 60 girls per grade but lost most b/c of fights and drama.

Long story short, I'm not "great" in anything.. just "ok" and my bros & dad dont let me forget it.

you think you get bad grades?????? you get my dream grades actually. I passed my sophomore year with a 2.0 gpa because i got an f in geometry and a d in world history. I try my hardest all the time to get the a's in all of my classes, but i just can't. Hon, you're doin perfectly fine in your academics. And as for your friends, if they were really your friends, they would not have fought with you in the first place. I mean a little fight here and there is ok, but when you lose friends over a fight, they were not the best to begin with. I've had experience believe me. and all of those sports!!! I couldn't imagine playing that many sports. I can hardly handle playing volleyball and having school work at the same time.

And as long as you believe that, it will be true.

You're great at being you, you're unique, of course if you constantly try to compare yourself with others you'll end up feeling superior or inferior, there is competition in life, but it's not the only thing life is about.

If you go into a relationship with that attitude, it's bound to fail. Relationships are about complimenting each others strengths and abilities, not competing.

Most folk would say B's and an occasional A are great grades, ask your dad if he loves you? Ask your brothers if they can give birth? Different isn't bad, (necessarily), it's just different! You have abilities and talents, start focusing on what you're good at.

As long as you agree with the idea you're less than others, you've destroyed any chance of finding out what you're great at, because your focused on the negative.

Luck

if u get As and Bs in school...thats pretty good. i used to get As Bs Cs and sometimes even Ds. and i never complained. just find wat u like doing. maybe its drawing. dedicate ur life to drawing. or acting. or photography. u dont have to be great looking to be someone in life. and dont pay attention to wat ur dad and brothers say. if u worry about wat they think or say, then ur never gona be happy. tell ur bf that u dont like him teasing u. if he doesnt get it, then find someone who can make u feel good
