It's like collecting Hummel figurines. You wouldn't really want to play with these figurines. They look just adorable to see. Each of them has their own unique cuteness about them. I understand this. For as long as I can remember,I have collected baseball cards,Football cards,And basketball cards. I had gotten quite a collection. But now that I am getting older,What do I do with them? Luckily,I have a 10 year old son I can pass this card collection down to. Hey,There you go. Let your mother know just that. That if and when you ever have a child of your own,You can pass this down to them. From mother to daughter or son,Which ever they may be. This is a very beautiful thing. Very noble and very heartwarming. If you know what company sells these dolls,I would look up the company online here. Ask her nicely,if she'll listen to you about something that's very important to you...tell her about your thoughts of making dolls..That may explain to her what your interests are about them...Tell her that many adult women collect dolls,& you would really enjoy that...If she refuses to listen & won't allow it,you can only wait til your older & start collecting when you don't need her permission...I'm sorry that life can be so difficult sometimes..BOL to you.

You tell your mom that you're not getting them to *play* with them, you're *collecting* them. You tell her it's your hobby.



Now my question is....is there enough space in your room for you to collect them? Maybe she feels that they would be cluttering your space in her house. If your using your own money to purchase them tho maybe you can get a display case for them too. Just talk to her reasonably about it.

Your mother should be thankful that it's your heart's desire to do something nice and wholesome, like starting a doll collection. She should also be thankful that she has a child that cares that much about her opinion! I still like to collect cute little things that some might consider children's things and I am 29. When I was 22, I bought the Frog and Toad children's book series just because it was so cute... and that was before I had my kids!

If you pay for your own collection, why do you need your mothers permission. My sister collects dolls (she is 59), my father collected stamps and coins, I collect books.

I think, all these collections are better, then to waste money on booz, or cigarettes.

You can find dolls for sure over the net, but try antique stores, these are treasure chests.

i dont think collecting dolls means your playing with them. im not a baby and i still have my barbie doll holiday collection...in storage but i still have it and i love it...doesnt mean that im sitting there playing with them. i dont know y ur mom wont let you collect them (unless they are really expensive and you cant afford them yourself) other than that just try to explain to her that this is something that you are really interested in and would like to start doing as your hobbie, and it is definetely not childish to collect dolls

tell your mom it's something your interested into and you tell your mom "mom it better to collect dolls then go out in the world and buy drugs" see if that works and if your mom has no care in the world bout wat your saying go for it go for your dream and don't let go untill you get there

tell your mom this is what you want to do and ask if she will support you and what your intentions are to do with them in the future and also do this as a adult would don't be like a brat if shes says no be respectful and sweet catch her at a time she is happy too and not when she is busy like when she is chillin

Oh My !!!!!!!! I wish my daugter wanted to collect dolls! What is wrong with it at all unless you spend all your money on it and can't save and pay your bills. Collect dolls!! Its good clean fun. You need to get more people to do it with you!!!!!

Doll collections can end up being worth a lot over time. If you start young and collect them your whole life you will have a nice collection which will probably be worth a lot. Explain it to her that way.

The dolls sound cute. Why do you need your mother's permission? Go for it. I didn't start collecting dolls until Iwas in my 40s.
