If a person has an associates degree, is that better than nothing

K if a person has an associates degree, is that better than nothing? Like is it better to have an associates degree than no college degree at all? Will a person make more with an associates than with a high school diploma?

Any type of education is better than nothing. I am currently working on my PhD because I love going to school. You should always want more than what you currently have. An associates is better, but you shouldn't stop there. Go for more if you can. Good luck.

sure it is! an associates degree means you have a college background, more education and are a more well-rounded individual because of your choice to attend college. that said, an associates degree may only get you so far- you might make more than a high school grad, you might not. it depends on your field. if you want to get the best job possible, you can shoot for a bachelors and/or a masters, but for now, look for jobs on monster.com that require an associates in your field. good luck!

Associates degree has more earning power than a high school diploma.

U.S. Census Bureau states - over an adult's working life, high school graduates earn an average of $1.2 million; associate's degree holders earn about $1.6 million, earning them $400,000 more than someone with just a highschool diploma.

Workers 18 and over sporting bachelors degrees earn an average of $51,206 a year, while those with a high school diploma earn $27,915. But wait, there's more. Workers with an advanced degree make an average of $74,602, and those without a high school diploma average $18,734.

Any degree shows that you have undertaken further education and have a formal qualification so that is good. Some employers look for a specific qualification so it might not be applicable to all jobs, but it's a start and better than no qualification.

Yes, of course an Associates Degree is better than nothing. Those people have committed themselves to academic excellent. They will get a job faster than a H.S diploma holder and make more money.

Yes, they should make more with an AA degree than with a high school diploma, but it depends on what the degree is for.
