The checks were probably mailed out on the 5th and the normal mailing time is 3-5 days. However, the IRS can't intiiate a trace of the check until after after 4 weeks.

When you called the IRS, did they indicate the check was indeed mailed? Even though you received the letter, it still might be delayed or offset. If you call again, try 1-800-829-0582, extension 726.

Are you eligible? Enter your info at http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/ to check eligibility, and how much you would get.

If you didn't get a second letter telling you an amount and a date, then apparently yours was NOT supposed to be sent out by July 4. Most of those have been received by now. Enter your info at http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0... - if nothing shows there, then you were not in the July 4 batch.

If you owe back taxes, back child support, or defaulted student loans, and are eligible for a stimulus payment, it will be taken toward what you owe, but you should still get a letter telling you that.

When did you file? If you efiled very close to 4/15, or mailed your return after mid-March, it's likely that you missed the cutoff for your return being processed by 4/15 so missed this first round - if so, you'll get your check in late July or in August.

Edit after your additional info: Uh, just where did I say anything about English being your first language or not? I didn't. And OK, you say you have already "done that information", but don't say what results you got - unless you give that info nobody can even advise you.

The check should have been mailed out on July 3rd. Most of the checks arrive in 3 to 5 days but the IRS says to allow 6 weeks.

The IRS has set up a telephone line (866) 234-2942, to handle problems, questions and concerns about the Stimulus checks.

I would wait until after Mondays mail delivery and if you still haven't received the check call the IRS.

Hope this helps.
