Does State Farm home insurance require photos of your property to keep on file

most companies will send someone out to inspect your property and take pictures of the outside and of any wood burning stoves, pools, and trampolines you have. when they inspect they are looking at the overall condition of the home, roof, and if there are any safety issues.
From the outside, yes. But MOST companies will do an inspection, from the outside, and take photos. You won't even notice it.

They took pictures of the outside of our home and the wood stove when we first insured with them 6 years ago. They send a letter every year if we need to update any added buildings or rooms etc.

No, but it is a great idea. Especially if you do not have the replacement cost option. Protect yourself.
