It is not likely but possible that the life Insurance snakes, Err I mean companies try to weasel out of paying anyone they can to save a buck Chuck!
So, I wouldn't be surprised if the Ins Co tried to get around paying...unless there was a clause to the insurance allowing for some forms of "Suicide"!
Hope this helps!

The LIFE insurance company doesn't get to put down the cause of death on the death certificate. The medical examiner/coroner does that.
Actually, jumping out of a burning building is potentially saving your life, so I personally do NOT think it would be ruled a suicide. I know for sure, all those poor people who jumped out of the burning WTC buildings were not called suicides; their life polices paid out. As did the workers comp policies.

suicide would be premeditated. Jumping form a burning building would be flight or fight. I think there would coverage, that is unless it was an act of terror than it could be debated and possibly only the premiums would be refunded. Hope that helps

I think that person is trying to safe his/her life. And the insurance company should not consider that as a suicide. No matter the condition when that person land either survives or failed that person DO NOT try to suicide.

Generally suicide is covered after 2 years, so just don't go above the 3rd floor for that period of time and you're good to go.
But, to answer your question I'd say no it wouldn't considered suicide.
