Is there still a chance for me to work abroad ? I 'm already 45y/o, female with 5 kids and a registered nurse. I don't have any experience in hospltal but I want to work abroad even as a nursing aid or assistant of a nurse or in a nursing home as a caregiver. I don't even know how to use the internet to apply for a job abroad?
One option is to consider a short term mission trip. There is a whole lot of need for nurses in a variety of places around the world. Your church, would be a great place to get more information about these kinds of opportunities. There is more that just one coordinating organization.
Another option would be through a NGO (non-governmental organization. This might require a greater time commitment, but again many organizations have specific needs in health care and it is another possibility. Look in your community "yellow pages" for organizations like CARE, the Red Cross, Doctors without Boarders, Operation Smile, the list goes on.
I am not sure of who you currently work for, but they may be another possibility. Many larger companies have affiliates or relationships with organizations/businesses in other countries. It might be worth your while to inquire and see it any such relationship exists and if it could lead to you having an opportunity to full fill your dream.
