Hey girl! I am very voluptuous and curvy and proud to look like an actual woman and I have noticed the same thing on quite a few websites and ads. One could get a better idea of what the styles would look like on them if they showed them on all different shapes and sizes! Sometimes I think you can be a bigger size like a 22 or 24 and depending on your height and shape and how you carry your weight you can actually look much thinner. Then again you see these weight loss commercials where they say there were a size 16 before and the before looked like they were off the chart like size 32! I guess it depends on your proportions, how toned you are and if you have an apple, pear or hourglass shape etc..anyone can look great if they wear clothes that fit well and flatter their shape!
