Hey Dakota Jens,

The Headshot! Ah, yes...I remember when I got mine done. If you have a good, professional photographer they will tell you when to smile, grin or be serious. You also get alot of the say. Look straight into the camera and pretend it is your best friend. Be yourself, and do what you want!=)

Also, professional or non-professional, either one is fine! I prefer professional for mine but after a while they get expensive so maybe get your first headshot professional and then for your second headshot rent a professional camera and get your mom to take it in a nice, cozy environment!

How do I get a headshot?- A professional headshot is the key thing here. Grab your yellow pages and look for photography. Call different places and ask if they do acting headshots, and if so how much will they cost. Look for the ones 100-200$ anything else is horrible quality or a rip-off!! If you don't have the money for a professional photographer then rent a professional camera and get your mom or friend to take it. Just find a nice environment with great lighting to take it. If you don't have enough money to rent a camera then just use a good quality one you have.

I hope this really helped you out and GOOD LUCK! <33

1. Smile away! Everybody likes to see a big, happy grin.

2. Is is really a good picture? it doesn't have to BE professional, but it should at least LOOK professional. Some party snapshot won't quite cut it.

Compare yours with the headshots here:

Good luck!

The photo should be a natural look that shows your sparkle. Look right at the camera. You do not need pro. photos before you have an agent, but you have to have the right one. It needs to have a plain, neutal background, and emphasized your face. It should be eight by ten.
