You could sing for your friends and family, you can get truthful and constructive criticism from them, hopefully without being hurt. If you think your good enough, maybe you could swing by a recording studio and see how it goes. =D

Does your school offer a program like choir? If so, I would recommend signing up! Such courses will teach you the fundamentals of music as well as some great singing techniques, and being in a choir is just a wonderful experience.



It is important to have more then just raw talent to offer if you are really serious about pursuing a career in music. Voice lessons are also a good way to get started. They can be a little pricey, but they are well worth it! Even if you do have talent, that does not mean that you can't improve.



This is something you don't just want to jump head first into, it is important to make sure you have the proper training in order for you to make the types of impressions that will get you noticed.

You need to get an agent! I'm in the same sitch with acting! everyone says I'm great and I absolutely love acting, but I can't talk my parents into an agent!!! grrr

Do what a lot of people are doing! make yourself a great little video and put it on you-tube! Get you music out there.
