Here are the dates for your Jack... from the social security death index (which is free, look at www.rootsweb.com). The problem with both Earl and Ethel is that there are several of each, and I had no way to confirm which was your family.

Since Jack was born in 1926, he and his parents will normally be findable in the 1930 census. My subscription is down right now.. or I would be happy to do that. Someone will probably come in behind me, and do that.

There are also many Earl Carpers in the family files at rootsweb, one of which could be yours. If you know his date of birth, you might be able to recognize it.

The "look it up yourself" answer was rude and contrary to yahoo guidelines.. not what the folks here usually do. Sorry for you getting hit with that. Maybe yahoo will help the young man understand what people DON'T do around here.

he died in SC, but Dist of Columbia was where he lived when he got his social security number.

Funeral service for Paul Douglas Carpenter 39, Wyoming, formerly of Anoka, took place Jan. 2 at Harvest Christian Center, Isanti. Rev. Darren Sedler officiated.

Carpenter died Dec. 28. He was born April 8, 1967 in Grand Rapids to Richard Carpenter and Sherry Cohoes.

He is survived by his father, Richard; mother, Sherry; brother, Gary (Rose); sister, Carrie (James); grandparents, Ethel Cohoes and Vivian Carpenter; and nieces, Marissa and Jennie.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Byron Cohoes and Wesley Carpenter.

Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
